Vogue Knitting App Reviews

I guess this app is fine if you just want to read the magazine- which you have to buy. However I wanted to use the patterns. I ordered the wool and when I wanted to start my project I found there was no way to print the pattern. I was pretty disappointed. I like to print them so I can mark rows off- especially colour charts. Also I am not the only one in the family using my iPad so having to use it the whole time to knit my sweater makes some people a little impatient. I wouldnt use it again

Nice to have instant access to the magazine, but the app leaves a LOT to be desired. Cant print instructions, cant copy and paste in a different app, buttons become inactive after you have accessed them once and then clicked away, not user-friendly for knitting at all.

Dont purchase this app. I agree with other commenters, very difficult to print patterns, in-app "comment" tools are useless and even though I have a valid paid subscription, I have to pay for the newest issue. Not worth the money.

There is something wrong with this app. Editions are getting lost.

I tried to download this App through my iPhone but it is impossible! There is an inscription : "RECOMMENDED FOR IPAD ONLY"!!!!!!! You can t download the App on your iphone, just open it!!!

AWFUL , AWFUL, AWFUL!I I logged out and then I logged in and just 1/2 my magazines came back. I had to log in with an old e-mail because it would not let me use my new e-mail which Is what it is under. I am trying to get a hold of customer service and there is no number! BEWARE DO NOT USE THIS APP.

I bought 4 books and cant open them in this app, I realized there is another app for books but dont know how to open them there. It would be nice to have support.

I echo the complaints expressed in all recent reviews. I emailed them and got a prompt response, saying they had fixed it. Like others have mentioned, I was to enter my email address for the password in the login screen. They obviously dont even know he user interface for ear app, because it doesnt ask for a password!

For those who dont know: contact support thru the vogue knitting site. I did albeit it took a while to fix it all, the Cust Serv were helpful. I found the link by login in their site. After a somehow arduous process, I know have digital access to all my magazine subscriptions since 2011. The app interface is well done, and what ends well is well.

Great app, I can now read my magazine on the go or have the patterns at hand anytime. Works perfectly fine now! (Since these last reviews)

Like so many others I currently have no access to my previously purchased content (in this app and the VK Books app) and the support offered by Soho Publishing is non-existent. What a lousy way to treat customers. These apps need to be pulled from the app store - and the VK website - until both issues are resolved.

I feel the same. For 27$ you can have the printed and the app included. However the reverse cannot not happen because customer service is not really interested in customer service. In short I must pay both subscription prices....since that is what the records indicate!

App is wanting me to pay for the last issue (Winter 2013) that is included in my existing print subscription. What gives? Overall, this is a very frustrating app to work with. Every time there is an upgrade, it is necessary to reload all issues downloaded prior. Downloads are very slow, too. App needs work to be easier and more intuitive to use.

I also cannot access my subscription, which expires in the fall of 2013.

At first, I had a few issues logging in, but now everything is working great. I love having iPad access to this great magazine.

Dec.29, 2012 update: as usual, Vogue Knittings new issue wont download - even though Ive paid for the subscription. It tells me Ive exceeded the number of devices I can have the subscription in - though this is my only device. Of course, its giving me the option to pay $4.99 to get the magazine Ive already purchased. Have contacted vendor multiple times previously, but never received a response. For the amount of frustration involved with this app every time an issue is released, I strongly suggest purchasing paper copies and saving the stress. Too bad as I have digital subscriptions to at least 30 other publications and have no problems with any of them - just Vogue. Update: added a star because 10 HOURS after purchasing subscription, issue finally became available for downloading. Vogue need to look at Zinios model - not only for purchases, but also for user interface once youre inside an issue. Table of contents function is useless. Additionally, I want to be able to print a pattern directly from the issue versus a "workaround" of taking screen shots and then printing those. This is a "working" publication system for knitters, and we need to be able to use the technology platforms complete capabilities! I also subscribe to the print edition and would suggest the publisher follow the example of other publishers who are making electronic issues available at no added cost to print subscribers. Previous comment: Apparently Ive lost $19.95 as system wont let me log in under my Apple ID as instructed. Sent an email to Vogue, but so far no response. Will try Apple next for a cancellation and refund. Really disappointing considering the potential of this app for knitters!
