Constantly updating, can never access. Would not recommend, exercise in frustration

I bought several Vogue Knitting magazines for Ipad to learn to knit, including Basic Knitting, socks and four others. They were not cheap, but were very helpful -- until they stopped working after a couple of months. None of them will open anymore on my IPad. Ive reinstalled the app, re-downloaded the magazines, nothing works. Ive tried to find some sort of help or support but no luck there either. I sent an email to Vogue but that was completely ignored. I paid all that money with nothing to show for it. Its been at least four months since the magazines last opened and I keep hoping someone will fix the app.

Issue loads slowly. You have to reload each issue every time you open it. Page rendering is fair at best, but the ads are highly rendered (naturally). Only one zoom level: in or out. Mailing a page to yourself is a PAIN. Whats worse, though, is the resulting resolution: 72dpi max. Very hard on the eyes and illegible print output. No support from publisher. Cant output (without a LOT of pain) a pattern page. Who the heck wants to stare at their computer screen to follow a pattern, fighting with the screensaver each time? Come on, Vogue! I love having the digital version of this magazine on my iPad. I can access it when traveling. I receive it as a perk for my print subscription. Nothing can replace the actual magazine for me, but the digital is still great. I have no problem reading it and the colors are great. Equally important is the Vogue Knitting Customer Service. My email enquiries are answered by a real person with a real name. You can respond to them and you get an answer. And they do not send canned answers with the directive to contact them again if this does not resolve your issue. On one occasion, I a actually got a phone call from them. The young lady extended my subscription for my trouble! I wish Interweave Knits could take a lesson from them!

I purchased the full print subscription, which is supposed to include access to on-line content, but it doesnt allow for it. I am asked to purchase issues I have already paid for, or pay another $19.99 for the same years issues Ive already purchased. Don t waste your time or money. Go to the local craft shop and buy the issues you want.

After a rocky start and a quirky sign-in procedure, I finally got this app to work after help from the magazines New York office. It was worth the trouble. Definition is great, charts can be enlarged and printed and the videos work. I am a print subscriber who finally got it to work.

I love having knitting pattern instructions on my phone, BUT this app is not accessible (wont work with VoiceOver) and the text is very difficult to read on the iPhone. I tried emailing a page to my computer, but its a tiny jpg thats even more difficult to read. The app might be ok on an iPad, but I do NOT recommend if for an iPhone

Doesnt work. Wont let you download the magazines you pay for.

I am a Print subscriber and thought it would work like other magazines that allow print subscribers to access the issues for free. This app required you to repurchase issues or purchase another subscription for the this version. Dont buy until it is fixed.

I cannot read the small print! I emailed the pages to myself to print out, but the text was blurry. I cannot use this at all. Dont waste your money!

Possible to read on an iPhone if youre thinking of using the app for instructions. But I tried emailing pages to myself so I could print out and use hard copy (easier on the eyes) but those are illegible on computer monitor AND iPhone screens! Hard to believe that the emailed page is even impossible to make out any characters even on an iPhone, which might have been useful if I was knitting without Internet connection. Please fix emailable resolution, Vogue Knitting. Im going to load app to my iPad and Id better be able to access the purchased issue. I just dont carry my iPad around everywhere.

Print subscribers need to have access. You cant preview before buying. Huge waste of money.

I love the Vogue magazines, but when the crochet issue came out, it showed up as part of my subscription. I went back to the app only to find that the crochet issue is a separate download for a fee. What the heck is up with that?

I have enjoyed this app for the past two years. Suddenly I can no longer view the 4 most recent issues even though I am a subscriber. I am promoted to pay for these issues again. I would like this fixed or my money back.

This is the major and main weakness. The magazine is, after all, about actually knitting! Vogue knitting charts are among the smallest, and it is hard to impossible to keep your place in the pattern without being able to print it out and, in some cases, "blow up" and print the charts. This is a great adjunct to the print edition, but on its own, there is not a lot of utility, although you can read the articles.

This app went from bad to worse with the latest update. I was accustomed to it crashing all the time, but at least I could access the magazine. Now, with the latest update, I cant even open the stupid thing. Worthless. Stay far, far away from this app.

this is the worst app ever! cant open the magazine,wont show that i have a subscription, wont show that i even exist! junk,junk,junk

Havent been able to access for days. Too bad they let this happen. Its one reason I wont subscribe. If they are this careless about their app, what else are they careless about?

I have not been able to access the issues I have purchased since the last update. I check daily for new updates but so at, nothing! Please fix it!!!

I paid for a digital subscription, but it wont download the latest edition, I ended up having to pay for the latest edition to get it to download even though my subscription doesnt expire until January! I want my money back when you fix is bug.
